Play DVD-R games in GameCube Guide (none modchip Action Replay method)
I'm only going to go through the streaming install method for now.

I am planning on a Flashable memcard method aswell but I want to wait till I have one myself before wrighting anything up on that method.

Items Needed
Items needed for installation:-
- GameCube Broad Band Adaptor (BBA) (Crossover Conection to PC Network card)
- Phantasy Star Online 1&2 (PSO)
- GameCube Memcard (Official)
- GameCube Action Replay
- CubeSoft Pheonix (I used v2.50b)
- Boot to Memcard [Action Replay Trick]
- CTR-GCS [MemoryCard Backup Tool]
- GCS Win v1.3 (PC Memcard Card Tool used through Streaming)
- GCOS v1.4 [GameCube Memcard Boot GUI]
Note:- CubeSoft Pheonix (I used v2.50b) is an offsite link with CubeSoft Pheonix v2.50b, you can also get all the other files from that site but navigating it is a nightmare.

Items needed after installation:-
- Action Replay 1.6 or higher
- Memcard [Codes+GameCube dol's]
- Fstfix

Setting up your PC and GameCube for streaming
Setting up your PC Network Card/Port:-
- Click Start then Settings then Control Panel
- Double Click Network and Dial-up Connections
- Right Click Local Area Connection that you will be using for your GameCube
- Click Properties then Intenet Protocal (TCP/IP) then Click Properties
- Check Use the following IP address:
- Enter 192.168.1.100 for the IP address
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet mask
- Click OK then Click OK
- Link your PC and GameCube up with a Crossover Network Cable

Setting up Phantasy Star Online 1&2 on your GameCube
- Boot GameCube up with PSO in
- Press Start then select OPTIONS
- Select Network Option then Provider Option
- Select Slot A then Yes then Yes then Yes then Yes then Network Setup
- Select Edit then Next
- Check Maually set an IP address then select Next
- Enter 192.168.1.32 for the IP address
- Enter 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet mask
- Enter 192.168.1.100 for the Default Router
- Enter 192.168.1.100 for the Primary DNS
- Select Next, select Next and select Save
- Select Return to the game
Note:- then Yes then Yes then Yes then Yes (This will not show if you have setup network setting on that memcard before)

Saving you Serial Number, Access key and Password to memcard
- Boot GameCube up with PSO in or continue on from Setting up Phantasy Star Online 1&2 on your GameCube
- Run CubeSoft Pheonix and click Options
- Click Save User Data to Memcard
- Go back to your GameCube
- Press Start then select ONLINE GAME
- Create or Load a Character
- This will not effect any games of PSO you are playing
- Select Agree
- Enter Your Serial Number
- Enter Your Access Key
- Create a Password
- Select YES then YES
- Once you have done that you will see a Game over message after the information has been saved
- Press Start

Installing GCoS
Installing Action Replay mod
- Boot GameCube with Action Replay disc in and an empty official memcard in Slot 2
- Select Options then Update hardware then OK
- Power Off then boot Phantasy Star Online 1&2
- Run CubeSoft Pheonix and Click Loaders
- In Task Selection choose Load a DOL or BIN file
- Click the ... at the end of the Select a DOL/BIN text box
- Choose Install.dol (zipped in Boot to Memcard [Action Replay Trick].zip) and click Load
- Go back to your GameCube and Phantasy Star Online 1&2
- Press Start and select ONLINE GAME
- Load the Charater you will be using for the trick
- Select Agree and wait for a message saying Bootsystem installer Done!
- Power off

Installing GCoS
- Boot with Phantasy Star Online 1&2 and the official memcard in Slot 2
- Run CubeSoft Pheonix and Click Loaders
- In Task Selection choose Load a DOL or BIN file
- Click the ... at the end of the Select a DOL/BIN text box
- Choose ctr-gcs.dol (zipped in CTR-GCS [MemoryCard Backup Tool].zip) and click Load
- Run GCS Win v1.3 and click .... next to the Path text box
- Select the path containing GCOS_GCI.gci (zipped in GCOS v1.4 [GameCube Memcard Boot GUI Save].zip)
- Go back to your GameCube and Phantasy Star Online 1&2
- Press Start and select ONLINE GAME
- Load the Charater you will be using for the trick
- Select Agree and wait
- Back to Your PC and GCS Win v1.3
- Click Slot B and select GCOS_GCI.gci
- Click the Right Green Arrow under Fichier Gci
- Now you should have everything installed
Notes:- GCS Win v1.3 is unstable so please don't click anything that I don't mention to click or play or try and use it before the dol has been uploaded, GCS Win v1.3 will freeze

Running GCoS
First Run of GCoS
- Insert Memcard [Codes+GameCube dol's] into Port 2
- Insert Action Replay disc
- Power up GameCube
- Select Codes
- Select US Flag
- Activate all the codes for Action Replay
- Start Game
- Open then Close the Disc lid
- Press A
- Open then Close the Disc lid
- Select GCoS PSO.dol
- Select Boot Backup Game
- Press A when ready
- You will be prompted to swop disc's in 8 seconds
- Open the disc lid and swop for your DVD-R game, close lid
- If all has gone fine you will be presented with a display of the Name and Region of the game if this dosn't show correct info start again
- There are a few options here to force display in NTSC or PAL using X or Y or A to auto select
Note 1:- Activate all the codes for Action Replay, The code is called Action Replay so please don't missunderstand that thinking I mean enabling the codes for every game or something.

Note 2:- The Following (M) code edit may get the trick working with other versions of the Action Replay, the code will also let you swop after Pressing A and Open then Close the Disc lid once instead of twice, but be warned this may also cause unwanted effects in your backups (I havn't noticed anything yet myself though)

Preparing and burning GameCube DVD Images
Preparing and burning GC iso's:-
- Rename *.gcm to *.iso
- Check file size is 1.35 gig
- If less use fstfix with the options s f to rebuild the iso to 1.35 gig
- Some games need the files reorganised to fix music again use fstfix with t s f flags on
- Use DVD-R's with Ritek Dye
- Burn with Nero Burning Rom making sure the Finalize DVD option is on
Note:- The fstfix.zip I uploaded also has 2 bat files with it one for s f options used on a file renamed to sf.iso and one for t s f options used on a file renamed to tsf.iso, for those not used to command line dos prompts

Please note, I couldn't find a reliable link for the Memcard [Action Replay Trick] that will have updates, also I can't recomend any none UK sites to buy from as I have only had personal experience from the UK ones I linked
