    Default ePSXe Pointers

I've split this up from the fixes archive. for one it'll give me more attention on it alone. This is patchy so It'll be a while before I get everything up.

These have been ripped from the other guide with the hope that this can be given more attention.

For Comments or Suggestions post them at the Comments on Guides thread, also note what Guide you are commenting on.

    ePSXe Version?

The problem in a game may be emulator related and not plug-in related, in some cases the older ePSXe 1.5.2 works better then 1.6.0.

    Squaresoft Games

Apperently some Squaresoft games give people a lot of trouble in ePSXe. A suggestion would be to play the game with an earlier version of ePSXe such as 1.52, plus there are various plug-in fixes for final fantasy games and chrono cross.

    Recommended BIOS

In some cases the reason a game will not work is because of the BIOS. There are several BIOS files available.

    Quote from ePSXe COnfig Wizard.

"The ePSXe team recommends the SCPH1001 (US) or the SCHP7502 (PAL) BIOS."

    Rips

Some games can be rips, these generally are missing movies and music (not neccessrally sound effects) these can usually be identified by the lack of music and movies or the size of the file. Sometimes a game may seem full (big file) but would have "dummy" files in it, this could not be fixed by a plug-in.
