    Default Xbox and USB

Okay im not sure if this is the right section but since it deals with hardware Im sticking it here. Anyway I just had some questions about putting USB in your Xbox. Im wondering if I were to just make an adapter out of USB plug and the end of a controller port would i be able to use both USB ports or would i have to make a seperate adapter for each connection. also if i were to make the adapter and on the controller end I put USB on it would i be able to plug the controller into the adapter and have it still work? cause im trying my best to avoid opening the box itself and especialy messing with the actual controller port board.

When I added a usb port for my keyboard I just cut the wire on the fourth controller port and spliced in one of those usb ports you put on the front of your case (the ones that plug onto your motherboard) the wires are the same other than the xbox having an extra wire (which I think is for lightguns anyway) or you could just get one a spare controller break away cable and put a usb port on the end of it.

Depends on the application. Some allow you to use a USB hub, others dont. And odnt expect to use the Mouse and Keyboard for games

Well Im doing this so that I can use a Keyboard and Mouse in Linux. I just wanna know if im gonna have to make 1 adapter for the KB and 1 for the Mouse or just 1 adapter with both ports on it.
