Unhappy Need help on a FFIX Issue

Hello, this is one of my first threads, asking for help. (and hopefully the last.) Me and my friend hace been playing FFIX through ePSXe and everything is great. But at one movie scene, it freezes and refuses to go any further. The movie is the one when the cargo ship is taking off from Dali Village. I have tried an assortment of video plugins and have also tried using different CD's to play the game... If anyone knows of this problem, and how to fix it, please post. Also, if this issue is unavoidable, could the savior ( ) get me a save right after that point? The person that succesfully solves my problem gets a 5 vote AND 50 gil. Thanks in advance.

That's easy Use EPSXE 152 instead of 160 everything beyond that point works great in 160

    EDIT:
So just take your saves/save states, put them in 152's folder, continue, save and transfer them back to 160 once the movie finishes, if you'd rather play it in 1.6.0

It has something to do with EPSXE 1.6.0 itself. The coders themselves are not quite sure why it happens, but that is why it is best to use 1.5.2 as well, since some games play better in it than 1.6.0. Chrono Cross is another example

I have heard that most FF games work better in 1.5.2. If you have a PS1 you can use the swap trick.

I really wouldnt recomend the swap trick since it will surely render you PSX unusable after some time.

Do you have proof of this? Because my friend has been using the swap trick for the last 5+ years with his PSX and it works great still whereas my friend's modded PSX broke down just last month. On another note my modded PSX finally broke after about 5 yrs+ using it. All of us bought it roughly the same amount of time and been playing on it a lot. If you don't know how to do the swap trick properly of course u'll damage it but with my buddy he's not dmged his still and it still running whereas my other buddy + mine broke recently. Explain that to me?
Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and b*tch-slap the f**ker upside the head...

it also depends on the chip and how good a job was done on soldering it
